Installing NETalker

Start the installation process by selecting the  install button.  This will launch the setup program for NETalker. The installation will take about 7 minutes for a dialup connection and 50 seconds for a high speed Internet connection.

The first thing that appears is a Security Warning window.

It will prompt you to Run, Save, or Cancel this process. Click the Run button to temporarily download the file during the setup. You may get a window that says that the publisher is unknown. If you see this message box, click Run.

 Once you select Run, the program will begin installing on your computer. When you see the install wizard, click Next to continue.

The next screen is the License agreement window. You must select the Accept radio button in order to continue. 

After you select Accept, click Next and the installation progress window will open.
 

The progress window is visible for only a few seconds because the NETalker files are very small—only 2 MB. Click Finish on the installation completion window.

As soon as you click Finish, the NETalker Talking Pointer will start and take you to a NETalker-enabled webpage.

To start NETalker in future sessions, double-click the NETalker icon . on your desktop.

CPU: 500MHz or faster
Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
